Arts and Crafts Birthday Parties
Options
Many community and recreation centers also offer great Arts and Crafts birthday parties, from simple craft making and decorating to complex glazing and firing in their sponsored professional art studios.
There are so many kinds of creative activities and studios you can choose from.
In Ceramics and Pottery painting studios you will first pick up a ceramic, glass or mosaic art object (tile, food safe mug or plate, trinket box, bisque piece, magnet) from their catalog (usually looking at the pictures from their online directories) and, when the big day comes, you’ll meet there with your painter friends and you’ll spend 1-2h painting and decorating it in the best possible way. You actually create a piece of art!Like Painting? Become a Picasso or Van Gogh! Paint other kinds of row art objects and simultaneously get a free class from qualified art teachers learning about colors, painting, modeling and even digital art. Paint on silk, canvas paper, canvas board and stretched canvas using acrylics. Draw and learn about digital photography, photo printing and how to create a set-up for photographing, as well as how to use a photo in artwork. They supply the paint, brushes, and plenty of ideas to make each project unique! After this art lesson, each child could take home a pastel picture.

Bedazzle yourself with handmade jewelry. Learn the process of making colorful copper enamel jewelry and items of your own design. Watch how several seconds in an enamel kiln can turn your creation into a piece fit for a queen.
Like Crafts? Learn how to make cartoons, kites, masks, scrapbooks (photo album), prints, books, lanterns… Or discover and practice your Decorating talents: personalize a pillowcase using puffy paint, fabric crayons, fabric paint and silk screen paint.
Stuff an Animal themes (such as Build a Bear or Create a Cuddle) bring an even more touching experience to the young kids. Each one picks up his cuddly creature (frequently a bear) and have fun with building and stuffing their new friend.Kid’s may choose from a selection of cuddly creatures to stuff. They may choose one outfit (T-shirt) or other accessory to decorate with markers and stencils for their animal. What’s great, they also receive a wish for inside and a birth certificate for their new friend. The birthday person may also get a cute backpack for his/her little cuddle.
Safety
Take care at scissors and, if you have allergies or your skin reacts to some substances, see what you use and touch.
Cost

You usually need to bring food, cake or drink from the outside, permitted after the painting portion of your event is finished. But check the party packages: they may already include pizza, soda/juice boxes/water, cupcakes, ice cream, candy jewelry kits and bag decorating.
Depending on the studio and its availability, you can exclusively rent it and use it during non-business hours for a private party, for $200 or more. You will usually receive the undivided attention of one of their helpful and talented staff members for the painting portion of the party.A non-refundable deposit of about $25 (25%) is usually due at the time of the party reservation (try to make it 2-3 weeks in advance). This deposit may be used towards the party costs.

The birthday kid usually receives more: a birthday mugwith group picture, a T-shirt and ballons etc.
Some can bring the party to your home and even clean up the mess. Costs shouldn’t be much higher.
