There are so many restaurant chains and locations, it would be impossible to list them all. However, those that leave you with the unforgetable taste of good food and drink are certainly worth to be consider for a birthday party. They might have good chefs or select food you don’t eat every day, such as caviar and lobsters, oysters, great steaks… They might have good beer or wines…

They might also have an extra “something” that make them special, such as an unusual decor. In this category there are restaurants with gigantic aquariums or with a jungle habitat. For kids it’s different, and they may enjoy a Pizza Party if different flavours are added to the surroundings. And teens will surely love the disco-bars, with DJs, laser lights, modern party flavours…

Consider also some exotic ethnic restaurants, with music, dance, decor and attractions specific to a foreign country. There are so many flavours, it’s difficult to count them all.

Most restaurants with special care for birthday parties, whether it’s for eat-in or to-go, or with a party room to rent for the occasion, will be listed here. As well as community centers, YMCAs or other places, that offer “four-walls” parties where kids basically enjoy having a good pizza, hot dogs, chips, tacos or BBQ.

Basically, wherever there are birthday parties, there are also (fast-)food concessions with pizza, hot dog, pop corn or burgers. However, for large chains, when main attraction of a birthday party is not the food, it’s likely they will be listed only into a different category. For instance, McDonald’s restaurants with Play Places appear only under the Playground theme, and Chuck E. Cheese’s appears only under the theme Games. After all, your kids will rather go there for the soft playgrounds or the Arcade games (food is auxiliary).

Those chefs who may come to your home and cook a great dinner on your birthday party will be also listed rather under the Cooking theme.

Safety

Be carefull with the kind of food and drink you have on your birthday. Your body may not support well something you never tried before, even if it’s delicious. Not too much, not too fat, not too spicy!

Cost

Kids usually enjoy cheap pizza, burgers, hot dogs and other fast food. McDonald’s restaurant parties where kids come for the Happy Meal, served before the cake in the party room, can cost you as low as $60 for about 10 kids.

Any birthday party requires anyway food, drinks and cake, with the lowest price around $50 for about 10 kids, if you order cheap pizza or happy meals. Many all-included birthday packages can cut the price on the food or may have special deals with their concessions for this kind of event.

If you have your party in a Zoo, Museum, attraction park, family fun center, Movie Theatre or other enclosed area, they will not frequently allow you to bring food and drinks from outside, and their concessions may be (and usually are) more expensive. At the opposite, when you have your birthday party in a remote area, with almost no restaurant around, don’t forget to bring food and drinks with you.

Adult Restaurant Birthday Parties will certainly cost more, from around $20 per person up to $50 or much more. It depends where you go, what you order and how much you eat (and drink). But hey, it’s your birthday and once a year, for the occasion, you can spend more!
